Pros

As a Leadership Development Associate my experience with ASM is rather unique. We are involved in learning multiple aspects of the company while simultaneously receiving leadership and communication training. The comprehensive program is designed to build future leaders within the company while investing incredible resources to do so. The level of access to upper level management we are provided is unmatched and the thorough training our coaches/managers offer is surely unmatched by other companies. I highly recommend ASM.

Cons

Having only been with the program since January of 2013, I don't have a complaint. ASM is proving to be a great company, filled with positive employees and promoting a great culture in the work place.

Pros

Each LDA is assigned a territory that he/she is responsible for in retail. You work 3 days in the field/retail, 1 day at a client or customer, and 1 day in the office. You get assigned different projects such as a new item presentation, spotlight project relating to retail, and a group project with other LDAs across the United States.

Cons

A lot of driving occurs in this job. Retail can become very repetitious since you are going to the same chains at least once a month.

Pros

Great investments by executives into the Leadership Development Associates. You are definitely given a lot of freedom to get your work done. There is a lot of opportunities to be creative and think outside the box on a daily basis. They give you challenging work, and I have never been bored.

Cons

Asked to do a lot of work for the salary provided. Also it can be challenging at times to work on your own as much as you are required to. Sometimes as a Leadership Development Associate you have a lot of people to report to with differing demands.
