Pros

They just instituted a minimum $15/hr wage for CMC. Friendly staff Caring for patients equals or bests that of other hospitals free parking for employees (for now) and visitors. Health and other benefits are good. Clean and inviting design/deco is welcoming Within Depts: From the top down, strives to be the best in patient care. Connect page (IT) has everything an employee needs from looking up policy's to pay checks. Very good work place policies in place.

Cons

There will always be Cons - no place is perfect. Look at what is behind the smiling faces. -teamwork needs loads of work. Still hearing a lot of ...'that's not my job" comments -Pt to CNA ratio improving but still needs work in other depts -house keeping needs help with staffing competent workers, relying on a few experienced to carry the workload -Pay needs to increase -lower morale in some departments, and complete dissatisfaction in others -Directors and managers of departments who hide terrible infractions made by their 'friends' CMC is not alone. This is a world full of humans and yes we make mistakes, but you can't learn from them if you hide from your mistakes and are afraid of trying something/someone new.

Pros

Great Co-workers and patients. Loved who I worked with and what I did. I enjoyed working with almost everyone in the hospital. It was like a big family.

Cons

BAD management in the ICU. Lies constantly to get what she wants. Hires unqualified employees to cut costs. Has no care for the team. Shares personal information with fellow employees. We lost So many very qualified wonderful nurses because her lack of care for the staff. Definitely a lot of favoritism in the scheduling and hiring. I would have never left if it wasn't for her.

Pros

Ive heard its a great place to work from former employees.. Not the Adventist group but Glendale hospital itself...Staff at interview were awesome great group of people felt at home would have loved to be part of their team!!

Cons

Pay is horrible!! I was offered the position in the interview which im not sure was a good or bad thing since position is still posted after 8 months... i turned the job down due to the pay it was 6$ less than i make an hour and they were unwilling to negotiate at all!! Even the per diem pay that is usually a good 5$ more an hour was 1$ more than i make! They must compensate those with experience! My knowledge is worth much more than the pennies they offered...And i just couldnt settle for nothing! Especially when i have a job that pays to your years of experience.. I understand they are a non profit so they pay less but this is LA county the pay should be more competitive..especially since their insurance is Blue Cross which is not cheap and usually costs 150+ a month out of your pocket.. This might explain why the position is still posted!! almost 8 months later... They really lost the opportunity to have a great employee work for them.. I was hired at another facility immediately after than was willing to negotiate pay and i still have my former job...
