Pros

Many coworkers are very kind, fun people to work with. The mission is great. It's a great haven for people who want to add spiritual emphasis to their workday.

Cons

These is a clear bias in favor of Adventist employees. There are not enough checks and balances in this organization that allow for fair treatment.

Pros

Most mid level managers are great; work can be fulfilling and enjoyable; some freedom and time to learn new skills; management encourages improvements; decent salary

Cons

PTO isn't great, with 0 company paid holidays; CEO Kerry Heinrich is continually moving the organization away from a faith focused organization into to a money, real estate, and political grab; some executives and directors are "micro managers"; company is now outsourcing many important jobs and removing all remote work in 2026 with no kindness or empathy shown to those impacted; the team you are on will greatly impact your experience.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Good benefits, approx 6hrs PTO per pay period.

Cons

The organization is very is the epitome of toxic work environment. The hospital organization is physician driven and not collaborative with all the other disciplines. Doctors in their respective specialties don't communicate w/ each other and rely on case managers to relay their message. Social work/ case management is used as the scape goat department for long lengths of stay or untimely discharges. Doctors aren't held accountable for rushed discharges/unethical practices. The hospital is focused on LOS as opposed to all the re-admission rates and quality of care. Management is self-serving with so many conflicts of interest/ shady business practices. Morale is case management/social work department is low. Furthermore, you have unlicensed social workers w/o a licensed supervisor which seems against regulations. You're only allowed to use 5 sick days per year.
