Pros

• Pay is decent ($42/hour as a new grad and now at around $45 after two years)

Cons

• You will literally lose your soul in this place, they WILL work you like a dog. •They don’t have resource RN’s to break you • You carry your work phone throughout all breaks (and trust me, that thing will ring NON STOP) • You get back to back admissions and discharges with no consideration for patient safety • Management is garbage with zero consideration for their employees and patient safety. All they care about is their bottom line and it shows. • The list goes on and one, just don’t work here if you can. They have a hiring bonus for a reason, don’t get suckered in. This place is a complete shitshow.

Pros

It is in a beautiful location and used to have some wonderful people to work with.

Cons

The culture is toxic from the very top. When I joined I thought the issue was our administrator, but over the course of three and a half years I realized the problem was the corporate leadership being so selfish and out of touch that they truly do not care about the people in the organization. While I was office manager, over the course of 2 months we had 7 employees quit due to to how poorly they were treated. I was forced to work as office manager and acting administrator with no clinician in the office, no promotion or salary increase, and when I asked about compensation or promotion opportunities I was told that we just had to hire to get back on track first. I requested additional job openings to be posted, but they were refused, instead we were told that the 2 people in the office were handling the work of 5 "really well" and that we "should be proud". The last straw for me was during a teams meeting with managers from all of the agencies in the region, when the corporate leader tore me down and told me that I would never be promoted- in front of all of my peers. Currently the home health office is operating with only a part time occupational therapist and a part time social worker - it is a joke of a home health office and really should be shut down.
