Pros

- Adyen “Formula” (culture) - Extremely stable company - Work life balance - Travel to multiple locations (specifically Amsterdam) - All teams are great to work with (not just one)

Cons

3 days in office might be a bit too much for some people, but it’s used for collaboration and you sense that

Pros

Adyen's emphasis on maintaining its culture of global collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit is borderline obsessive. This is a good thing, as the people here are genuinely nice people, talented and enthusiastic about the what the company is doing in the payment space.

Cons

Only thing I can think of is the lack of a stock option plan for employees (but comp is generally fair).

Pros

Strong culture of empowerment and trust. Company really believes in people owning their work and giving them freedom to make decision. There's a set of useful and tactical principles - the Adyen Formula - which they say to keep in mind, but otherwise, just go get things done. Mostly enterprise business. We work with some of the largest companies in the world and are especially strong in tech, e.g., Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Uber, so we all get exposure to the interesting products these companies are pushing out. We also have a strong and growing presence in retail, and how that landscape is changing. Global team. This is the most truly global place I've ever worked. We're regularly on video calls with colleagues from all over the world, and all commercial teams travel to Amsterdam at least 3x/year. We also are encouraged to travel to other offices for 2-8 weeks on "exchanges." Fast paced. Speed is considered one of the competitive advantages here, and we're constantly pushing out new products and features. We co-create with merchants, and get to work closely with our customers to create products that meet their needs. Certainly pushes us to keep learning to stay on top of new changes. Also is great for customer facing roles, since we regularly have new benefits we can offer to our merchants.

Cons

Given the fast pace, it's not great for those looking to just "phone it in." Business is mostly focused on enterprise and large customers, not a consumer facing brand by design.
