Very collaborative and friendly environment in Chicago. The office is growing. Feels like a startup right now but with the stability of Adyen as a whole. Open to feedback and change. Work life balance is very important. People are encouraged to take on projects that they are interested in and will grow their skills. Connecting with coworkers and learning about the business are highly encouraged. Compensation and benefits meet market for Engineering in Chicago and Adyen+ is a nice benefit where you get a "bonus" every month to spend on personal needs. The Chicago office is nice and conveniently located right in Fulton Market area. There is catered lunch every day where you take a break and connect with your coworkers as well as a barista in the office daily. If you like travel, everyone in NA goes to San Francisco and Amsterdam once a year for company events.

Cons

Little disconnected from Amsterdam in Chicago but the office is growing and becoming more independent over time. People make an effort to stay online early/late as needed.
