Pros

The benifit are ok and starting pay is good.

Cons

They have many homegrown workflows and ways they want things done. But they offer little training on these and little to no documentation yet they expect you to "get it" quickly. For accounting their general ledger technology is over 30 years old they rely on spreadsheets, so there is lots of data clean up and room for mistakes yet when you make a mistake it’s your fault. Management is only concerned with getting their next promotion they care little about your thoughts or how to improve anything. Also you better make sure you go to them all the time because they have no time to stop and "see how things are going for you" Overall watch your back and if you’re lucky you may last 5 years maybe longer. Their motto is "Have Fun, Make money, Respect all are lie. Sure you your pay may be higher but it won’t last the long term and having fun or respect really is a joke.

New leadership is clueless

Pros

Don't have to work too hard. Benefits aren't bad Fairly Stable environment even in the down economy. Don't do too many layoffs. The products are good and the people who service the customers actually care.

Cons

Senior management is completely clueless in how to implement their strategy. They overall strategy is reasonable by the execution makes no sense whatsoever nor is it aligned with the strategy overall. The senior management is filled with long-term insiders who don't have a good vision, cost accountants, technophobes, and lawyers. Marketing, Technology, or anyone that had read a management book written after 1985 takes a back seat. Their is so little logic or transparency that there is an oscallation between chaos and stasis. Middle management is fully of sychophants where actual talent is scored because they don't speak the same language as the entreched management. The front line supervisors tend to be good but these people are usually not qualified to move beyon that.
