Excellent Job for Independent Workers
Pros
If you work well independently, are able to adapt to an ever-changing environment alongside ever-changing protocols (which is a prerequisite for any healthcare associated position), and can communicate what you need from your manager in order to succeed, this is an incredible company to work for. They've deeply invested in my professional development over the last year and a half, and I've been able to sharpen and grow my skills and knowledge exponentially, which has been of great benefit to me and the department. This is also an incredibly understanding work culture - you will never work weekends unless you want to, and whether you are having a medical, familial, or mental-health issue, they will work with you to accommodate your needs. Any company needs to hold employees accountable of course, but you will be heard and understood whether it's due to personal issues or suggestions you may have to improve operations. The work-life balance is also the the best out of any position I've ever held. The training is in-depth and extensive, and gracious in understanding that most new employees aren't familiar with the ins and outs of insurance, urological supplies, and healthcare software systems - it's all provided for you through extensive training and communication. Although there is so very much to learn, no matter which department you work for, you will always have the information you need to succeed provided to you. I can't speak more highly of this company and plan on working with them for the long-term. I understand where some folks may have issues, but from my experience, it just boils down to not being a good fit in terms of individuals' workflow and ethics. All that said - you're not going to have to worry about job security. In the 1.5 years I've been here we have grown exponentially, and part of my position is to help see how we can reshape old infrastructures so we can support our enormous growth. Aeroflow isn't going anywhere. And, of course, working remotely is wonderful - again, at least in the Uro department, this takes a certain amount of self-organization and drive. If you have that, and can communicate your needs, you will absolutely succeed at Aeroflow.
Cons
I always seem to miss when employees bring their puppers and kitties into the office. There needs to be a specific Pet Schedule so we can coordinate days to work in-office and get some fluffy love. In all seriousness, as a company whose growth trajectory is off the charts, it can be at times difficult to adapt to all of the operational changes that need to take place to support that growth - again, communicate your needs and your suggestions, and you will be heard!
