Interesting work and laid-back environment

Pros

The interesting and challenging work and laid-back environment here is an otherwise hard to find combination. Coworkers are friendly and knowledgeable. Software developers care about their work. Software management is responsive and actively tries to ensure a good working environment. All of this makes for a good work/life balance and low stress environment. The products we create are used in many essential industries like medical devices, manufacturing, and research, making the job much more meaningful.

Cons

The pay is decent, but compensation and PTO is slightly below average. Change is very slow and decision making is often over-complicated.

Most of my coworkers are great, and the work is interesting. The size of the company is good in my opinion. Managers and upper management are good at what they do.

Cons

Some people here are not great team players and just care about themselves and sometimes their departments.
