      Pros

      Proiveding apprentice-level training to new Sailors.

      Cons

      Must be a member of Illinois Teachers Union. The union is absolutely poweress when it comed to military contracts. Yet we still must pay union dues.

      Pros

      Great extroverted people to work with. You really do get to go to work with your best friends everyday. There is an ability to really get to know your co-workers that you dont get other places.

      Cons

      Very close minded management style. First impressions are everything and no body gives you a chance to change once they have made up their mind about you.

      Pros

      Flexible schedule when more senior (coffee meetings first thing in the morning, so I could sleepin, or at 5:00, so I could leave the office at a "normal" hour). I made some great friends.

      Cons

      Oh, wow...where do I begin. LONG hours. LOW pay. Horrible benefits. Cliques. Sickening politics. Stupid numbers we were supposed to hit. Oh, the guilt: guilt for taking time off, guilt for not hitting numbers, guilt, guilt, guilt. Ugh. And the poor, brand new recruiters...we just wanted to tell them how horrible it was, and to get out now, but we don't dare!
