Pros

Opportunity to make a lot of money based on how hard you work. It is a young group of people, right out of college, so the atmosphere is like a post college party. The expense account is a nice feature, you can take people out to lunch and the company pays for it. It did allow me to build good relationships with people in the types of jobs I recruited. There are opportunities to travel to other offices and meet new people. The training is pretty good compared to other national recruiting firms in the US. I learned a lot while I was there.

Cons

You have to drink the Aerotek "Kool-Aid" and live, eat, breath Aerotek 24/7. If not, you will not be promoted and you will get pushed out. Management has no problems letting go of high producing people if they are not drinking buddies or golf buddies. This is a party boy culture and if you are beyond that and more mature, you will not enjoy the culture. If you are a woman with kids, forget about work life balance and trying to raise a family, it wont happen. Also, they expect you to grow grow grow, no matter the circumstances (ie you are under staffed, you lose a large account, they split your territory). When you do get to a profitable point with your clients, they will split your territory in half and give it to someone else and it will negatively affect your yearly compensation; it is a way for them to save money and not pay large amounts of commission. Also, while recruiting, I had to compete with my "partners" to fill jobs, so it was a bit confrontational at times.

Pros

It is great when you can work for a company that you know is the best in the field that it competes in!! There is never a doubt that Aerotek is the best in the staffing business. The earning potential matches the level of effort that is put into your job. Aerotek offers unlimited training and support which in necessary in the ever changing temporary staffing industry. The growth at Aerotek has been incredible. Now sitting at the number 1 position in an industry that has been around forever in only 25 years is incredible!! Aerotek continues to increase it's ability to attract great new talent!!

Cons

The work is very intensive and the nature of working in the temporary staffing business is taxing. There is never any downtime!! When you are stiving to service clients at the highest possible level, you need to be "on" at all times and this can create conflicts with what other customers require. Aerotek never settles for mediocrity. Most of the new hires at Aerotek, it is the first professional job and with that comes a number of different levels of competencies coming in and there are challenges in creating training programs that are compresensive enough, but does not go to slow to engage.

Pros

Employees get paid every week, and Aerotek offers medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Cons

Aerotek is a temporary work environment they offer a job only no raises, no PTO, for long term employees. I have worked for the company for 1 year and 8 months, only a one time per 18 month vacation check is offered.
