Pros

Aerotek as a whole is a good company. The biggest pro is the money you could POTENTIALLY earn. If you work your butt off, you can make a lot of money and learn a ton about the staffing industry. But, only 1% of the company will make 6 figures each year. It is a great stepping stone to launch your career as every business in the staffing industry knows who Aerotek is and they know what standards a Aerotek employee is held too. The people you work with will also be a pro as you become very close with them. There are certain Account Managers in the Madison office that truly care about others and will do what the need to do in order to see others succeed, but only a few are like that.

Cons

Where to start... 1. Account Managers would treat others poorly and have zero trust and partnership with one another. There are certain members of the team that seem to be the main reasons why the last 3-4 employees have left and until they change, people will continue to leave. 2. There is no Work Life balance unless you have been there for over 5+ years. Kiss your personal life goodbye and expect to work between 50-70 hours a week and also be compensated around the same amount as a farmhand at the local dairy farm. 3. Aerotek offers the lowest hourly pay and salaries in the staffing industry. They expect a new college graduate (Bachelors Degree) who has racked up thousands of dollars in debt to live off a meager $10-12/hour (factoring in hours and taxes) and you are not even compensated for any commissions until you are making the company over $3,000 a week. There are account managers there that are barely making $400 a week with commission!! And they are in management!! You WILL see $0 in commission for months when you start, whereas other companies pay you your commission from the first dollar you earn them because you are working your butt off. 4. Retention is horrible because Account Managers only care about themselves. In my years at Aerotek, I have seen on average, 1 person a month quit/leave due to their immediate managers not taking the time to develop and train them properly or to even care what they want in a career. That is over 25 people just in the Madison office that have come and gone due to factors that could easily be fixed. 5. The people. Your coworkers can be a positive thing, but also a negative. There are many people in the Madison office that only care about themselves and no one else. They lie and are manipulative. They can say over and over again how strong the team is, but in reality, they have no trust in one another and they are very selfish. There are more arguments in the office than any other company I have worked for.

Pros

Good training, inside access to resume building, interview skills and HR contacts

Cons

It was an extended version of college-- heavy drinking at every event with co-workers (including office promotion celebrations), constant peer pressure to criticize everyone around you, harsh "constructive" criticism was their thing. Make sure you have a tough skin and are willing to work 12 hour days with little pay.

Pros

Aerotek has been my first and only job after college. I have been with the company for 9 years and I'm excited to have the opportunity to retire here. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be surrounded by incredibly strong leaders in the organization. When I first started with the company, it certainly wasn't easy but I put myself out there to receive a lot of coaching and development and because of that the leadership kept investing in me. I have been to at least 2 trainings/year. Aerotek has invested in me significantly and I have responded very well by working hard, putting my team first and creating opportunity for those around me and because of that, I have blind faith that the company will take care of me. I know I am lucky to work where diversity is valued and the leaders care about your future.

Cons

We hire entry level inside sales (recruiting) positions which can lead to a lot of turnover because we understand that Aerotek is not for everyone. If you accept a position at Aerotek, give it a full year. Everything is temporary and you may have come in during a rebuilding cycle. The leaders of this company care so much; if you stay for at least a year, you will see that.
