Pros

Training program is good, a lot of companies like to pull Aerotek recruiters because the training is great.

Cons

1. Producers do NOT make good leaders 2. If you’re under a poor manager, leave immediately because it will stop you from succeeding 3. Pay is $16 an hour for recruiter trainees, and being lowered to 12.50. Managers expect you to stay long hours to meet goals 4. Extreme metrics 5. Commission structure is set up like a pyramid scheme. 6. Always new hoops to jump through when starting to make progress. 7. Leaders are all from retail or restaurants, so they have no management capabilities. (Promoting from within isn’t always the best). 8. Literally work anywhere else. If you work at Aerotek, please do your research before signing your extremely vague offer letter.

Degrading and unethical frat house

Pros

Fun work parties, friends (commiserating)

Cons

If upper management actually took the time to look at their managers they would realize how much of an HR NIghtmare they really are. Some of these managers have been around for ages so they can do whatever they want. And force new staff to do whatever they want no matter how unethical. They see contractors as walking money signs. I hate screwing with people's lives. I just had to fire someone because they took a day off when their sibling died. Told my manager I didn't feel right about it and was told "you'll get over it". I'm thick skinned but I never felt so crappy about a job. The frat house environment is toxic. Sexist pigs who brag about their illegal activities. Look how many females are promoted to managers. Very few. How many have families? None. I've seen recruiters get pushed to unreasonable expectations and terminated when they find out they are expecting. The work hours are unreasonable. 7:30-5 mandatory but If you don't stay late you aren't a "grinder" so you won't make it. The salary is also deceiving! They say 50k within 3 months. Very few recruiters hit it that quickly. If you have a deadbeat manager even harder. Tired of being belittled. Actively looking to leave this company but not having any time to look or interview due to this horrendous schedule.

DON'T WORK HERE

Pros

It's making me type 5 words minimum and that is the only reason there is anything in this spot at all.

Cons

Management is based on who the director likes the most. Director has absolutely no idea what is going on in the "pit" and thinks an occasional happy hour will help with how awful the work life balance is....well that was until the happy hours were taken away because a 7 billion dollar company was unable to invest in its employees. If you want to make 70 cold calls a day, been yelled at behind closed doors, and be treated like a number this is the job for you! Also don't even think about speaking up or expressing concerns or problems because they will just find a way to turn it back on you. Everyone in this office is so out of tune with what reality is. There's a reason more than 25 recruiters have left ONLY THIS OFFICE SINCE HE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR.
