Fun workplace, bad leadership

Pros

The benefits are good Pay is fair It's a fun product to work on

Cons

Leadership is running it into the ground as fast as possible So much middle management, everyone is a manager, only like 20 out of 200 people at the company do all the real output Some of the c suite wants to bring in all their friends as contractors who just linger on payroll and know one knows what they do or manages them The decision making always feels like opposite day. They will be done before 2026 and sold for pennies They don't have the money to pay employees or their factory and still keep hiring unnecessary roles

Checked all my boxes!

Pros

Leaving my own company to go in-house was something I knew I would only consider for my dream job; for a company that checked all my boxes. Aside from the obvious - cool tech, no competitors, already have a strong demand & product market fit, what won me over even more was the culture, and the human side of Aescape. You can feel the camaraderie across the org, the energy and excitement, and the welcoming be-yourself vibe. The focus on wellness, work/life balance, and various perks & benefits were an added bonus ;) In this industry, and the startup world in general, I think its really rare to find a company that is conscious of keeping a good work/life balance, that tries to ensure you don't burn out, and that encourages you to take the time off, and always put our family and health first.

Cons

I'm sitting here trying to think of one.. and all I came up with was that I wish we had an LA office so I could partake in more happy hours and massages!
