Pros
-Family culture: Everyone here is really tight knit. No big egos, nobody takes themselves too seriously and it makes for a great environment. -Great projects: Lots of cutting edge buildings. Healthcare and Science & Technology makes for very unique challenges and keeps things exciting. -Flat structure: Task management and QC is collaborative. The principals are approachable and affable. I've been able to get problems solved by not having so many layers of management to weed through. -Collaboration: Being in an isolated department, we are still asked opinions often and consulted about field experiences by designers. Conversely, I am always able to go visit with a designer or PM about our projects. The teamwork is phenomenal.
Cons
-High expectations: It's one of the premier firms in the country in a very hot market. There is a lot to do and it can get hectic. -Adapting: The general approach often seems to default to the safe call, and innovation isn't necessarily embraced the same way it is at other firms. The gears can sometimes move a bit slow. -Remote Work: I wish they'd be more open about working remotely for some of the more repetitive tasks. They are trusting about doing it when needed, but it's definitely frowned upon.
