Affinitiv has room for improvement in terms of collaborating effectively across different departments. There exist untapped opportunities between departments that can bring significant benefits to both the company and its clients. Additionally, automotive is a niche market and we fail or succeed based on the well being of one industry. Diversified ad agencies are more resilient in volatile markets.

I worked in the Email Resultz department under the Agency Advertising umbrella. After receiving a competitive offer from another company, my manager persuaded me to stay with the promise of a salary match and more client involvement/growth plan, yet after almost a year after that management reneged on that agreement and denied my raise despite our agreement. My manager took credit for my work and for my Ideas on a regular basis. He described my feedback as “back talk” as if I were a child despite the fact that I managed our employees and day to day resources with a greater understanding than his own. There was once a time our whole team was out sick/on pto and production came to a hault because he couldn’t fill in for anyone on anything. I was also regularly admonished for asking questions and any attempts at learning anything new was met with suspicion. There is no career development in Email Resultz. I begged for a development plan after putting in more than 7 years but was bullied out of the idea because the manager was incompetent and couldn’t put one together. The one time I reached out to HR for help the manager called me afterwards to belittle me for doing so. I don’t recommend the Email Resultz if dignity, self-respect, or career advancement is important to you.
