Pros

- Made great friends (but we all left) - Provided many sink or swim moments that have helped me easily excel in current positions - In the beginning, I had a great mentor that helped me build the foundation of my career today - Most people refused to do their jobs correctly, or at all - I took advantage of this to increase my knowledge, and become someone that too valuable to lose - benefits/401k were great in my company before the merger (benefits were a little high but we were a much smaller company)

Cons

- Too many products to sells and too many products that aren't even that great. - Tactics were outdated or just too basic. Clients don't know better until another company shows them. - There is no overall team. Your sales rep will throw you under the bus/cuss you out/give your personal cell number to clients/ completely forget about client meetings/will never answer your email and screen your calls. - the inside sales guys are treated like gods, yet I watched a 20-year-olds chug Pedialyte and talk about how much they hate the company all day. - I saw Scot every day he was in the office (it's not big) and he couldn't even remember my name let alone say Good Morning back to me. - Any positive reviews are from people in Director positions or higher. They act like there's no kool-aid, but it doesn't hurt to be positive with a pay raise. Most directors are only in that "position" to fill a title or an empty spot left by someone who was fired. - Look at all past directors on LinkedIn - each has taken lower a position elsewhere because they were never qualified for that role in the in the first place. - If you do your current role well, they'll never let you leave that position to do something new. - They gave unlimited PTO - no one managed a department and somehow one girl took 6 weeks PTO in 3 months. She still works there and now unlimited PTO was taken away.

Great co-workers. Bad executives.

Pros

Co-workers were great. Very tight-knit group.

Cons

After receiving extremely poor employee satisfaction ratings, the executive team went on an apology tour. They bought some lunches and said a bunch of buzzwords in the hopes that this would somehow fix the problems employees have with them. At no point did they actually say what they would DO to make things better for employees. Nor did they mention any strategy or plan to fix the problem of a declining book of business. They aren't honest with employees and instead opt to just say the word "transparent" to seem like they're being more transparent. Executives don't bother engaging with employees to the point that they don't even know their names. No wonder morale is low. When asked about the status of the company, all we get is nonsensical cheerleading. Anyone can tell they aren't telling the whole truth. They hesitate before answering or give long-winded non-answers that don't address the question. It's obvious they don't think very highly of their employees' intelligence. Maybe they just don't care. As soon as this executive team was brought on, things started going south very quickly. Products that sold well and brought in steady revenue were left to dry up and die. Clients were cancelling in droves because products didn't work and there was no support for them. Salespeople were hired but given no training on the products they would be selling. Experienced employees were either let go without any reason or quit, some even taking pay cuts just to get away. The former CEO assaulted an employee and they let him stay on for another four months after, only announcing his departure as a little blurb in an email. I could go on.

Pros

If you are an average performer- you may get a Promotion! Just wait for all the competent people to leave.

Cons

Affinitiv is definitely the Poster Child for the classic Management Theory called The Peter principle!! In essence people get promoted to a level of incompetence!
