Pros

As an associate you get the opportunity to earn exactly what you're worth. When I started I had ZERO experience with any kind of insurance but through the Aflac Corporate Training (Sales School), classroom training and my District Manager helped me every single day for years and made sure that I earned an income. You get the freedom and flexibility to take time off when you need to but also get to work as much as you want. You are always moving forward and your clients are amazing! I definitely recommend working here! If you are a go getter and want to succeed then you will get all of the help and support you need to be successful and the sky is the limit!

Cons

If you are lazy or expecting to sit on Facebook all day and slack off like some other jobs you won't make any money. There were a lot of people that started with me that made all sorts of excuses, barely worked and when they did "go to work" they didn't do what was asked of them so they didn't make any money then blamed the company when they failed. If you want to slack off this is NOT for you!

Pros

Make a lot of contacts, Selling a proven brand where prospects have seen commercials and are familiar with Aflac. Current health insurance for most people and employers is expensive and still leave you having to pay a lot every time you need health care even though you are fully insured. The model is easy to explain. Medical bankruptcy is real.

Cons

Greed. If you uncover a potential lead that may yield substantial commissions, watch out for you so called mentors/mgrs. You cultivate the leads but you don't always benefit as much as those above you. All the winners are at the top winning off your efforts. You watch them celebrate at conventions. you get wood they get $$$ and trips
