Pros

FLEXIBILITY: After training is completed, your hours are flexible. You are in charge, and can arrange your work around your life - instead of the other way around! *This does not mean you don't put 40 + hrs in a week, it means if you need to take the afternoon off to go to your daughter's dance recital or meet up with an old classmate for lunch, you can without a hassle. $GET PAID$: You get paid for how hard you work! How much, is up to you! This is the job for you if you are a work-a-holic! HELPING PEOPLE: This position allows you to really come in contact with how Aflac helps families that really need this voluntary insurance coverage. You will hear stories that will touch your heart and realize what a great company it is to work for.

Cons

Aflac pays you 6 different ways - Commission is the main one. This means you will have to budget for those months you don't get paid as much and the previous month. This clearly is a hard concept for a lot of Americans who live beyond their means, however it can be done.

Pros

If you have very few expenses or can get by on the income of a spouse this can be a great opportunity for you. It is a lot of hard work, but it can be very rewarding. This is definitely a career commitment though. The first few years don't expect much, but if you can stick it out for 3+ years you will have a great life because of recurring income! I loved my team, it is easy to get behind this company as you know you are helping people.

Cons

With all that being said, there are a lot of things that I wished they had informed us on. They focus on getting you new accounts and making money. They don't put any energy on keeping the accounts or how to set up the accounts correctly. If your accounts don't pay their bill for the entire first year you have to pay money back to Aflac. So you have to check your online website all the time to make sure people are paying their bills. There is plenty of work on the back end of it that takes away from getting new business as well.

Pros

Make millions if you can trick people into buying a useless insurance.

Cons

Pay from your pocket for using office phone, pencil, printer, or scanner. Bathrooms are free. Insurance plans are tricky with tons of fine print to avoid payouts. I felt as if i was lying when I was selling Aflac insurance and quit after a few months.
