Most UNETHICAL company

Pros

Not many. This company is corrupt at all levels.

Cons

The corruption runs deep...all the way to the top. If you are a "yes man" and willing to be unethical, Aflac is the place for you. All levels of executive leadership (President, CEO, EVPs, SVPs, etc.) foster an environment of fear and retaliation against those that don't conform. If you don't "drink the kool-aid" and bow down to the duck, you can't succeed here. Aflac is NOT an ethical company. Yes, they throw crumbs to the employees every May with employee appreciation week. But the pay for the rest of the year is minimal. Sadly, they've been successful so far at convincing employees that EAW proves that the company values them. In fact, the company offers minimal salary increases and only "favorites" get promoted. In addition to pay that is not competitive in the industry, you are expected to cover up when the company does something unethical or illegal. Yes, ILLEGAL. The company has been found in violation of laws in many states and has been fined heavily. But that hasn't discouraged the company. If you value your reputation and integrity, this is the worst company to work for. They are culturally corrupt and toxic. And if you are a female considering a sales position, beware. The misconduct scandals currently in the news are 100% reflective of the Aflac Sales culture.

AFLAC is not for the faint of heart

Pros

Flexible schedule as well as uncapped commission

Cons

Not all of the district managers are really fit for management and unfortunately, getting stuck under one of these managers can ruin someone's experience with the company. AFLAC also hires reps left and right, diluting the market significantly

Flexible schedule, helping others every day!

Pros

Flexibility in my schedule is huge! Unlimited income potential, management opportunities available. It can be hard work but it is worth it if you can stick to it and are committed to building your own business. Where else can you start a business with little to no financial investment?

Cons

100% commission can be difficult to adjust to for some people. It just means how much you make is in your own hands.
