Pros

Free food when you work overtime.

Cons

AFLAC is a okay company, it's the position and don't think for one second you will have the opportunity to leave. They hold you back and write you up for any little thing just to keep you trapped for a whole year. The calls are back to back you have to fight for a good schedule if you take 1 hour of USPTO be prepared to have a late schedule. Every 3 months we bid on schedules. You can never get a day off and the calls are back to back. It drains you mentally and then they ask for overtime . Which I DO NOT PARTICIPATE. One time we lost so many employees because they were making us do an additional 2 hours on Mon and Tuesday for the people that was full time I felt sorry for them. If you apply with this company stay away from the call center , I am so serious. They also make you learn additional information at first I stated just with payments and reinstatement next thing you know they added to my split claims, and when I looked into the raise they said it's not a raise because you are still a specialist 2, you have to become a 3 and handle payroll in order to have a salary increase. I'm like are you serious more work with the same pay. We are also underpaid I do not have my college degree yet so I make about 13.00/hr more like 9 once they tax it. I am in the process of finding another job and I have found jobs doing the same thing I do now and are make about $19 to $20/hr.

Pros

Commission Renewals - control of your schedule and your income.

Cons

Because of the 100% commission and each State/District basically makes up their own training program-it can be very difficult to get the training to become successful. They seem to attract a lot of non-professional type of people into the sales organization. The turn over is the highest I've ever seen.
