Pros

Now that I've had a taste as an independent insurance agent I can't see myself going back to the 9-5 world. Have I made tremendous money in my 1st two years, no. Have I enjoyed the experience tremendously? Absolutely!! I know full well that this will pay off in the long run. Any type of insurance sales is a marathon, not a sprint. Anyone telling you that you will make 6 figures right off the bat is lying. (Although some do, but it is the exception not the rule. With regards to AFLAC, the team I have worked with offer fantastic support, product training, and leadership. They give you the tools, you just have to go use them. Also it is a great product

Cons

There is no salary, no benefits. You have to get your own leads, but that is very easy. How you perform is up to you. If you need hand holding or expect a minimum salary look elsewhere but otherwise I do recommend AFLAC

Pros

Awesome product line. Great group rates. Easily managed, new software for signing folks up. Aflac sells itself once you get your foot in the door.

Cons

My biggest issue was OTHER AFLAC AGENTS! They are required to recruit and train new agents constantly, and even though the market in Ocala is wide open, other Aflac agents by the dozens are hammering the area. Even agents from OUTSIDE our market area were heavily working this area. They don't care who they recruit, either. I made a total of $900 in three MONTHS working 12-16-hour days, and that was with an excellent district manager who invested a great deal of time in training and coaching.

Pros

terrible place to work. it is like days of slavery. work your butt off so upper management gets paid not you. they view pornography from their work laptops and this pops up when you try to use them. Disgusting

Cons

terrible. sickos.need to clean house and get respectable people in to run it all the way up to the regional office.
