Pros

The mission is important and the chapters are doing life-changing work for their communities.

Cons

The leadership team needs to listen to their staff instead of thinking they know whats best. This organization has a long way to go when it comes to being transparent, equitable, and inclusive.

Pros

Staff at the programs All my coworkers on the team were very committed Support from many financial contributors I still speak with staff and review is truthfu

Cons

Strange culture People had fear to point out internal problems Not many experienced people in leadership in financial matters. Complicated budgeting programs and funding finances. Takes too much time, people. Afraid to give more detail for fear of retaliation of colleagues still employed in finance, human resources and internal operations

Pros

The students are great! There's a mission and vision that many team members are dedicated to achieving. The vision that after-school programming should be a fun learning environment is a top priority. The organization has resources to provide great programming and lifelong opportunities for youth in the Bay Area. The organization in the Bay Area is still small - so there's still tons of opportunity for growth in a positive direction. We are moving in the right direction. Decent pay for employees at all levels.

Cons

After-school hours can sometimes be challenging for work life balance. There are some structural challenges that makes the work inefficient and could do a better job training their staff to ensure that they feel supported to meet expectation. The on boarding process looks different depending on your role. there should be a standard on boarding process.
