National Organization based in LA with a progressive lens to its staff and work with students

Cons

I loved the company and what it stood for but after a few years under the new senior leadership in NY, I had to leave! They did not have people skills and didn't know how to lead and inspire people. Instead I felt unvalued, was underpaid and the overall vibe was tense and very cliquish. Turnover rate in the middle management became atrocious as people kept leaving.

Upper management not holding supervisors accountable. A company's performance is a direct reflection of their leadership.

The students are great to work with and program provides after school snacks, tutoring, and outdoor play.

Cons

The on-site leadership was unprofessional and was using funds meant to purchase new equipment for activities wrongfully. He is now fired but this shows a lack of oversight.
