Thank you for your more than 20 years of service at AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. We truly appreciate your contributions to the farmers and families we help support. Like other companies, AgFirst has recently undergone some necessary changes to keep pace with evolving technology and customer needs and, as expected, has experienced some growing pains. Throughout this period, we have remained committed to treating all AgFirst staff with dignity and respect. To ensure that our employees have multiple ways to offer feedback and have their questions answered, we have instituted an anonymous online question-and-answer forum between employees and senior leadership and scheduled a series of small employee discussion sessions hosted by various executives. Your concerns regarding executive management, work-life balance and resource allocation do not align with our mission, vision and values, and we would like to hear more about your experience. If you’re open to further discussion, please reach out to our Human Resources Department at 1-800-845-1745 directly. Your insights are invaluable as we strive to create a supportive work environment for everyone. Thank you for helping us grow and improve.

Pros

When I first started at AGF it was a Great company, but then it went downhill FAST. You were required to work 60 hours a week while other on your team did just enough to get by.

Cons

If you like working your butt off with no appreciation or thanks. Then this is the place for you.

Pros

Good pay, Hybrid Schedule, Great coworkers Decent insurance and great 401k

Cons

I’ve never worked anywhere I felt like the company was “out to get” their employees until I worked here. If you want something, get it in writing, because they will absolutely go back on a promise. While employed I heard of a of HR mistakes. Individuals that didn’t get their health insurance, or got offered a position that they expected to be full time remote, and ended up being hybrid. Even folks who have a full time remote offer letter, that are unexpectedly told they need to start coming into the office.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are proud to offer our employees competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including a generous 401k plan and the option of a hybrid work schedule where practical. All full-time employees qualify for health insurance and other benefits, and AgFirst has a standardized enrollment process that’s shared with all new hires. While human error is unavoidable, we strive to be upfront and transparent in our operations and policies. We have a mix of remote, on-site and hybrid positions, and our updated telecommuting policy allows eligible employees to work remotely up to 16 hours a week. Please call us at 1-800-845-1745 if you would like to discuss your concerns in more detail.
