Pros
There are a small gaggle of talented, normal, professionals who keep pushing the boat forward. I do not mean the folks who have been there for 20+ years and have made it their home away from home. Profitable bank because they get government money cheap and lend it out to farmers with a decent markup. They are a 27billion dollar bank because of the cheap cost of money.
Cons
I know banks. This bank is one of the worst run I have ever seen and has THE WORST management I've ever seen. Most have never seen the back-room of banking operations and prefer to pontificate on the wave. It will be interesting to see how the Puerto Rico defaults play out in 2016. Who will be the sucker to absorb the defaults on the mainland if any? This bank is a good ole boy system and they have the arrogance to prove it. They talk the talk and don't walk the walk as one would say. Good luck keeping it in the fairway. You've been too lucky for too long.
