Pros

This May I celebrated my one year anniversary working for Agencyport. I am an eager Millennial who feels so lucky to have the opportunity to work for such an amazing company as my first job fresh out of college. Most people wake up everyday and do not look forward to going to work, however for me, not only do I look forward to my job, I also look forward to seeing my quite skilled and quite comical work family. Over the past year I have grown upon my skills from previous internships and have had doors opened to new opportunities that most people fresh out of college do not get to experience. I feel constantly challenged yet always supported in what I do. The characteristic that distinguishes Agencyport from other companies is that your voice is truly heard and valued. Our management team works with their doors open. We hold company meetings every other week to make sure that everyone is kept in the loop about various projects and upcoming events. Our CEO has taken me out to lunch to ask how he can best improve our company. No one has forced me or paid me to say this, Agencyport truly is a one of a kind place. We work really hard and but also play hard taking part in organizations such as Boston Social Sports and holding Pictionary competitions to promote company bonding. If you are looking for a place to be challenged, advance in your career, and learn a lot while loving the people you work with, Agencyport is the place to be.

Cons

Agencyport needs to continue to find better ways to provide competitive employee benefits.

Pros

Agencyport's best asset are its employees. Everyone on the team is friendly, and the culture is casual and fun. Plenty of opporunities for after-work activities, including softball, kickball, and paintball. There's opportunity to learn with regular "lunch & learn" sessions as well as senior employees always willing to lend a hand.

Cons

If you're a developer on the Services team, the work can get old after a while. There's plenty in the SDK to learn, but you'll be implementing similar projects over and over, and Agencyport SDK knowledge isn't exactly transferable to other companies. The newest (at the time of writing) version of the SDK uses things like AngularJS and Bootstrap (which are transferable to other web companies), but there's no guarantee that you'll be working on a project using the latest version of the SDK. If you end up supporting a client who uses an older version of the SDK, you'll be working with older software, as the insurance industry isn't very quick to adopt the latest technology updates.

Pros

Good culture, fun environment, easy access to the leaders of the company. Happy hours, company outings, practical jokes, yet hard working atmosphere.

Cons

One con would be the changes of management and change of ownership that have transpired over the years... private company - bought by public company - merged with another subsidiary - sold to private equity firm - leveraged buyout - separation from aforementioned subsidiary.
