Going to different sites to commission equipment for events and emergencies. Learning problems on site to repair.

Cons

Being strong and ready to be out on call in the event of shut down in the middle of the night. Long driving distance.

Pros

Good benefits and pay. Bonuses paid based on area performance, raises yearly, paid time off. Aggreko has deep pockets and spares no expense when it comes to quality equipment. Training available for technician positions is a good change of pace if you can get to it.

Cons

Rigid corporate hierarchy. People across the country and across the world dictate how equipment is serviced, set up, and monitored down to the nitty-gritty. Technicians are well compensated but it seems to be a rule that there are never enough in the smaller service centers. They get vacation but it's very difficult to take, 24/7 service means constant call outs while on call and usually having that duty 2 weeks a month. Service order paperwork (all electronic) and systems are overly complicated and rigid and take up a disproportionate amount of technician's and junior management's time.
