A really great boss and fantastic coworkers. We've worked together to solve some of the most challenging IT problems in the DoD. Feedback of all kinds is welcome, ideas aren't shut down, hard work is honestly valued.

Cons

The nature of Federal contracting is that you get a contract for about five years at a time, and if your company loses its recompete, you'll have to go with the new company if you want to stay on that contract. And at the new company, you'll probably be a number. That won't be easy after you've worked with people you really like, and gotten used to a place that values you.

Pros

The leadership genuinely cares about the employees. The benefits package is very good. Pay is on par for the positions being filled.

Cons

Sometimes there is a void in communications from the middle management. Not many opportunities for advancement; generally you're hired to fill a position on a contract and there isn't an opportunity to move up if you're a mid-level or senior technical/engineer.
