Pros

Good place for entry level straight out of college hires. Otherwise, nothing positive.

Cons

Age Discrimination: If you are over 50 you are at great risk, they will force you to retire if they can. Otherwise they micromanage until they can fire you. If you are over 50 you are held to entirely different standard. Ruthless abuse of power: Peers in Germany were tricked into crossing the board to a new base office in Switzerland. This made their employment exempt from German law; within 12 months the entire SITE lost their jobs to Singapore. Management will lie and falsify records: Personal is under staffed and afraid to take a stand. Management will change commitments after they are set and claim you missed them. They’ll use absurd logic and outright lie to move anyone out of the way that is a threat to their advancement. No local accountability: A manager in the USA might report to someone in Singapore, so the American can be a dictator and tyrant while sucking up to his boss. You would think his boss would meet with the employees and spend at least a few minutes to learn what was going on. Not even three minutes of time in five years, a total disgrace to the founding HP Way. Morally and ethically corrupt the oppression is unbelievable.

Pros

You can work with interesting technologies, and learn or do as much as you want to. Generally, your coworkers are very smart people who are willing to share their ideas and help you out when you need it.

Cons

The compensation is not on par with other tech companies. There are not very many opportunities for career advancement. The management team is constantly pushing their people to produce products without really taking the time to develop quality products. Generally, there is an attitude that "you should be happy that you have a job here." This place was a great place to work in the '80s, but the management and benefits have not kept up with the times.
