Pros

spacious office, flexible work hours

Cons

Depending on the job, there are many. I was hired to handle their IT which was a total a mess, walked out after a week. This is the perfect example of a small personal business that knows or cares nothing the IT technical operations that it takes to run it, just the high level business and how much he has to pay you out of his own pocket. Its funny to see him try to flood the site with positive reviews in response to seeing negative ones.

I would like to respond to the comments from the March 13 reviewer. The reviewer stated that he worked here for a week before he "walked off". There has only been one person who worked here for just one week and he was an IT guy, so this is probably the same individual. He was let go - in part for not turning up to work on Monday morning with no phone call or notice. The only reason he gave the following day is that he had some "personal business", so his comment that he "walked off" can be considered truthful. However his claims about our IT infrastructure are simply not true. We outsource our infrastructure to leading providers so that we can focus on our core business: Our production servers are hosted on Amazon AWS in a fully redundant master/slave configuration, backed by automated monitoring and recovery testing. We use Amazon Route 53 for DNS, Microsoft for hosted Exchange, etc. He was fired/walked off, back in 2014 - almost two years ago, but the review was just submitted in March of 2016, so possibly things were different when he was here. Or possibly the review is a fake. "An IT guy who worked here for a week" seems very specific, but it is strange that someone who only worked here for a week would submit a negative review almost two years later. Then again, walking off an IT job without notice is also unusual. As the company's HR manager, I am pleased to say that we have developed a more thorough vetting/hiring process over the past couple of years, and judging by the atmosphere in the office and the GlassDoor reviews , it is working - all our recent recruits seem very happy and productive.

Pros

Strong company vision, product, revenue, and outlook - Agiloft is doing very well for a company of its size (50-100 employees) and age (20+ years). The hybrid SaaS/on-premise licensing model offers a solid revenue stream with a pipeline for growth. Thursdays' wine and cheese breaks aren't bad either! Great place to work - The perks of working here are not excessively attractive, but they are more than adequate and certainly fair. Compensation and benefits are competitive and management is very receptive to new ideas and increasing employee retention. It's in a beautiful location, and the people that work here are exceptionally talented as well as friendly. The environment is very collaborative while maintaining a high level of professionalism. It is small enough where every employee's contribution has an impact on the company's success, yet there are opportunities for growth.

Cons

Traffic can be bad for a commute, and there is no reliable public transportation to get to the office.

Pros

I love the flexible start times to make my commute bearable. It's a relaxed office culture, casual dress, friendly and helpful coworkers, positive team atmosphere, spacious environment with nice location on the water. I'm an introvert and like the relatively quiet atmosphere. I am kept pretty busy doing challenging and interesting work. Everyone wears multiple hats, so though my main responsibility is to do customer implementations of our software, I also get to do other things I'm good at and have a lot of variety in my day to day work. We don't waste a lot of time on meetings, but we have company lunches and wine and cheese gatherings every week. There's a pretty flat hierarchy, so advancement seems to happen more through salary and responsibility increases than through many levels of management. Promoting from within seems to be the norm, though. I really appreciate that even exempt employees are really just expected to work 40 hours most weeks, and extra hours are only occasionally needed. I like everyone I work with - they are all smart and capable, and everyone carries their fair share of work.

Cons

It's a small company, and the people who do the best here are those who can contribute in multiple ways. Not conducive to very specialized job positions. I'm not sure how salaries compare. I think ours are probably a bit lower than startup or large company salaries, but we also don't work 80 hour weeks.
