Pros

Does the thought of sitting in stop-and-go traffic give you anxiety? Save yourself the headache of honking horns and flashing lights. Working remotely gives you more time to spend with family and friends every day. At Aha! video calls allow us to easily communicate and build strong bonds with one another even though we live in different parts of the country (and world.) To strengthen those relationships, Aha! sponsors a company get-together twice a year. We call them onsites and they help us build upon our already strong culture! And we always go somewhere great and stay at a top resort.

Cons

You will need to drive your vehicle occasionally -- or you will find the battery drained.

Strong culture and challenging work

Pros

One of the best things about Aha! is the culture. Everyone here is kind and positive. And it is probably the only place I’ve ever worked where there is zero gossip and drama. This was my first time being a part of a fully distributed team, and I have been impressed with how well they make it work. I never feel like I am working in a silo. We communicate throughout the day via video chats and messaging. And even though I’ve only been here a few months, I already feel like I am part of a close-knit team. I also love the flexibility remote work provides. In the past, I have spent late nights in the office. But working remotely has freed me from late-night drives home and gives me more time to spend with family and friends. The work itself is challenging. Fortunately the managers act as “coaches” and will talk you through any problem. You are never left to figure things out on your own.

Cons

If you have not worked remotely in the past, it can be an adjustment.
