A great remote team where you can do your best work

Pros

Every day I get to work with an incredibly skilled, friendly, and welcoming team. Getting together in person feels like meeting old friends. The work is challenging, in the best way, and you always have the support you need to do it well. The flexibility of working remote can be life-changing. I can walk my daughter to school in the morning, work from coffeeshops until mid-afternoon, and finish up at home. You get to choose your own distractions, and I've never been so productive. And, as a self-funded company, we're in control of our own destiny -- as long as we continue to make our customers happy. You'll see the impact your work is having first-hand: Nothing will make your day like getting a thank you email from someone you just helped out.

Cons

Being remote, it's so easy to get drawn into what you're doing that it's hard to stop. You don't have the natural workplace interruptions that can force you to take a step back and think about a problem from a different direction.

Pros

Aha! is genuinely the best company I've ever worked for. You get to work with the very best people. When I first joined, I was very struck by the collective expertise of my team members and peers. The entire Customer Success team is made up of former product managers, as are many team members in other roles. And they weren't entry level product managers either, many of them held senior or executive roles at large organizations before joining Aha! They are also just good people - they're considerate, friendly, welcoming, hardworking, and passionate. You get to work from home. My productivity is easily 3 or 4x what it usually would be in an office environment. On top of that, I can spend the time I'd normally spend commuting or getting ready with my family. You get to build something that matters. Aha! is the industry leading product in a space that's still being defined. Aha! provides a toolset and framwork for organizations to build better products. The exponential impact of Aha! is staggering when you consider the thousands of product teams working more effectively because of it. You will be supported. The onboarding program is incredibly detailed and well documented. You're assigned a coach and buddy to help you get on board, which also helps you get to know other folks on the team. You are given the time and space to learn the important things necessary to excel in your role. I love working at Aha!

Cons

I genuinely don't have any cons to mention.

An Amazing Culture

Pros

The people at Aha! are truly exceptional. Even before my first day I felt welcomed and excited to join a team of highly talented and caring individuals. The leadership team does a great job of communicating expectations and goals and brings the entire company along on the journey. Everyone works hard to achieve the same goals and build something great. For the right person, working remotely can be amazing and the recruiting team at Aha! is gifted at finding talented people. Everyone works really hard and is a top talent in their field yet they are all incredibly humble and willing to help with anything at a moments notice. I also love that I learn new things daily, especially in regards to other areas of the business that I might not have been exposed to at other companies. There is true transparency which is very refreshing.

Cons

As mentioned above, working from home can be a blessing for the right person. The team works very hard and is super responsive which might be a challenge for some people to work that way. While I never feel alone (we are constantly connecting via chat or video meetings) I could see where some might need more in person connection. Working from home allows me to get more done, however you have to be someone who is self motivated and somewhat technically savvy as there is no IT support down the hallway to come over and explain how to use a particular application. I would say that as long as you are looking to work remotely for the right reasons Aha! will be a great fit. Remote work at Aha! is not for slacking. If you are not internally motivated then the environment might not be a good fit.
