      Pros

      You get to work on aircraft.

      Cons

      Everything else. Bias P&D process that creates a massive pay gap, the general statics are warped by the large numbers of men in manufacturing. Complex inefficient policies and procedures. New ideas judged by popularity rather than cost improvements or engineering criteria. It's 100% who you know not what you know.

      Airbus Undergraduate Apprenticeship

      Pros

      Good environment to learn in, most employees are ex-apprentices and so are happy to take the time to help you. You are given real work during the apprenticeship as opposed to practice or meaningless work, you are contributing to the company and making a difference. There is plenty of support from Airbus, the college and the university. Lots of activities and trips to get involved in.

      Cons

      Not much calrity from the appretice line managers. Ocassionaly treated as kids rather than emplyees. But you are treated as full time employees by the core placement managers and teams.
