      Pros

      - Beautiful region, amazing food - Safe job - Mostly nice n friendly colleagues - Good structure with meaningfull processes - Good benefits

      Cons

      - Culture of military programs : lots of burocracy n arrogance, little taste for efficient development - Too many layers of managers - Culture of subcontracting: to often the actual job is done by poorly treated n motivated subcontractors

      Pros

      Plenty of opportunities to work on some interesting, major space projects. Nice, generally supportive co-workers (though some are a bit strange!). Flexi-time system helpful (when you can take time off, that is). Pays well.

      Cons

      Constant high pressure with unrealistic commitments made to customers. Too many lost weekends and long days spent in fire-fighting mode. Portsmouth site feels looks like it's on a downward spiral with no investment and people leaving not replaced. Archaic IT systems and processes which act as a daily impediment to getting work done. Complex hierarchical organizational structure which has got worse since the previous Astrium days,

      Pros

      High level tech company, interesting job, lot of holidays and flex time.

      Cons

      Basically nowadays it is impossible to really join the company as internal employee. You can be employed as consultat for an external company and in future (years) try to join.
