      Pros

      Medium sized company, fast decision making, CEO being a MIT professor is certainly an advantage when it comes to creating company culture -- very focused and not afraid to take risks. Ideas are valued but execution more so. Great perks -- free breakfast, dinner, snacks, company transportation. The company does serious work, but doesn't take itself so seriously --- fun loving and collaborative culture. Great leadership.

      Cons

      It takes some time initially to settle to the fast moving culture and decision making, but once you do, you'd enjoy the flow of work and collaboration.

      Pros

      Excellent work environment, job security, benefits, salary and work life balance. Great place if you have a young family and need to spend a lot of time at home. Akamai also lets you transfer to any of their international offices once you've proven yourself.

      Cons

      Extremely limited opportunities for advancement. No room for great ideas, mavericks or chronic innovators. Also not a very good place for young people, which is very unfortunate. Really only choose Akamai if you have a young family and don't need your job to provide you with friends and fun.
