      Leadership has the wrong focus

      Pros

      Everyone I've met here has been pleasant to work with. Unlimited PTO in the corporate office.

      Cons

      Chances of a large raise are slim to none unless you're bonus eligible and there isn't a rhyme or reason for who is and isn't. Work in IT Security? Yes. Work in operations? Probably not. Removed the possibility of working remotely leading to lower productivity just to be seen in a seat and losing talented people. Everything is tribal knowledge making on boarding and learning difficult. Employees have to help employees because management can't or won't.

      Toxic work culture in some teams

      Pros

      - Has a good community of people - pay is ok

      Cons

      - You might get unlucky and get stuck under bad management - Team leads and managers take little accountability and love to shift blame where they can - Horrible delegation process, ask for work to be done with very tight deadlines (literally hey can you have this sprint worth of work done by tomorrow without proper tickets documenting requirements)

      Extremely low bar for work product.

      Cons

      > They forced everyone back to office 4 days per week in October. But the company has 4+ main office locations (plus division offices) so coworkers are in different locations. You are forced to office to sit at desk on Zoom. > Toxic leadership - gatekeeping, infighting, yelling in meetings, lack of respect > Gatekeeping at all levels. Teams are incentivized to hoard information, You have to figure everything out on your own - and then when you deliver something, other teams will rip holes in it just to slow down your progress > The company is 15 years behind technology (analytics) tools and best practices > No chance of promotions. Don't even think about growing your career here.
