its a no for me

Pros

coworkers were nice and easy to work with

Cons

Management has poor communication skills and they lack even the basic managerial skills, they take zero accountability when they are in the wrong and toss the blame on other employees. They continue to set ridiculous expectations on departments that are understaffed, in what some might consider a high volume store but yet complain when they aren't met. All the while hours are being cut and our pay is not matching the amount of work that they are expecting us to do. Current management at Albertsons 0359 takes favoritism very much into account when making decisions, which is made very obvious to other employees, and does constantly try to contact employees on their days off, on vacation and well past work hours (i.e. 10pm) regarding work issues.

Pros

Benefits and pay can be decent for full time employees in charge of small departments.

Cons

Starting pay for hourly employees is terrible in today's market. Upper-level store management turnover is very quick, as soon as really good ones come along corporate transfers them to another location just as they start to get things running better. Then they are replaced by someone who lets it crumble until they bring in another good one. This cycle seems never ending and creates very bad employee morale which creates high turnover. The good employees who actually give a crap and bust their butts aren't taken care of properly and end up quitting because they get tired of watching the same thing happen over and over. CEO retired May 1st after merger with Kroger fell apart so maybe the new one will change things up a bit.

Pros

I have a great boss and love what I do, but our new CEO has decided to pretty much take away our hybrid work which was the best benefit of the job.

Cons

Four days in office is not hybrid especially when we used to be fully remote then once a week in office.
