Depends on department!

Pros

Some of the best people I've ever met work at Alchemer. The culture is great. Unlimited PTO. They got rid of the old CEO which was really encouraging to me and I think everyone one else. I think things are going to start trending in the right direction again if the new CEO makes the moves he should. Everything else is highly dependent on your executive and your manager. Based PURELY on that - these are the departments I would recommend if you're considering Alchemer. Customer Support Customer Success - junior level (look in the 'cons' section if you're more senior) Finance Onboarding Sales Ops Marketing Tech IT Product (based on team and management)

Cons

These are the departments I would urge you to reconsider if you're interested in Alchemer (based purely on management and/or leadership) Senior Customer Success Human Resources Sales (AEs) If I forgot a department, it's probably a good thing.

Disorganized Leadership and Poor Management

Pros

Many of the non-manager employees are talented and hardworking.

Cons

Management lacks direction, fails to communicate effectively, and shows little regard for employee well-being. Leadership seems more focused on maintaining the status quo than making meaningful improvements, leading to stagnation and frustration. There’s little room for growth, and morale is low because of constant uncertainty about the company’s future.

It used to be fun...

Pros

When I was hired in 2021 it was a great place to launch a career in tech as a B2B Tech Support Rep and explore different career possibilities in SaaS and tech. I really loved the mission based on advocating for customers.

Cons

The fun atmosphere gradually disappeared after the company changed owners. It went from feeling fun and meaningful to feeling more about maximizing profits than anything else. All I remember from every company-wide meeting of 2024 is "cut costs, cut cost, cut costs. Do more with less." The same old profit-over-people corporate environment. I quickly regretted asking for guidance from my leadership, lost hope on transferring to a more suitable role, and was relieved to get laid off. I had not realized how draining it was to keep showing up for a job that wasn't fun anymore until it took a solid 2 weeks to feel fully rested again after being released.
