Pros

Pay and benefits and sometimes work hours

Cons

Forget human even being a part of the department title, shared serivices is where we are supposed to direct you and don't think HR really cares or listens cause if you are someone who speaks up, is a whistle blower or anyone with real ethics you will be black listed and they will work you right out. And your "voice" only matters are far as the survey goes, fluff to make you happy around survey time but real change that really matters won't happen. And the scum that doesn't work or isn't worth a darn will still be there as long as they kiss backside to the plant manager.
