Pros

Alcoa once had great values and some remnant remains with older workers.

Cons

Lack of transparency, racism at some locations which is ignored, placing unsuitable persons in leadership roles. Led to the demise of a good refinery.

Cons

-Horrendous work/life balance for supervisors -Massive turnover of supervisors over the past few years -No advancement opportunities for supervisors as they can't find anyone to take the positions -Managers without the needed education requirements -Base pay is lower than almost all competitors in the area for new supervisors -Management folds like a paper house when dealing with the Union -Every person in the plant will delegate their specific responsibilities on to you - Good 'ol boys club
