Pros

Good benefits, medical and 401k matching. Big company and lots of hiring internally so there's potential to move up within the company even if it's not within your division. Very recognizable name that looks good on a resume.

Cons

High expectations and high workload is not for all people. Job responsibilities often ranged outside of written job description. Established systems were hard to change even if there was a significant business case to do so.

Pros

Great movement room as long as you are willing to relocate. The salaries are good and the benefits are great. You can easily progress down your career path here.

Cons

Commodity based business, they take a cookie cutter approach to the best practices and don't have enough infrastructure to support the the needed changes to drive down cost while improving reliability.

As long as you don't have a life

Pros

Job security, because turnover is so high they would never fire anyone...except for the people who are actually working in the plant.

Cons

Zero work life balance. There is only one way to do things...the way it has always been done. The only thing that is valued is how many hours you work regardless of actual contribution.
