Pros

I helped build and worked for Alcoa Iceland. In the beginning it was exciting, fun, and promises were made for employees of inputting ideas to help your section be more productive. Hours in my old section switched form 12 hour shifts to 8 hour shifts. Great for those with families.

Cons

Management only cares for themselves. If you complain about how your treated, supervisors take it personal. The leadership in all departments are not worth anything. People in the offices think they are above us blue collar workers. Your ideas are never discussed, and if they are, supervisors will say no, then present YOUR idea as if they came up with it themselves.

Pros

Beautiful building right on the North Shore with excellent views of the city. Pay is good for the Pittsburgh area.

Cons

Big corporate mindset can feel like a small cog sometimes.

Pros

Decent pay, benefits, etc. Some really good people at our location. Coworkers that pour their lives into their work.

Cons

Top management doesn't realize how hard we really work to attempt to meet outrageous goals. EHS now has delegated out all of his asats to random people that have no idea what they're doing.
