Pros

Great work/life balance. Great benefits. People are friendly. Employee morale is fairly good.

Cons

Knowledge of management about their job and the job that you do. Good old boys network - promotions based on "who" not "what" you know.

Pros

- the ALCOA corporate structure is very solid - good benefits - you will learn how to deal with difficult people

Cons

- poor team work between managers - very political--if you do not conform, you are not accepted - pay is not competative - expectations are low

No Work/Life Balance

Pros

International company affiliation located within reasonable commuting distance from home - fairly direct commute without excessive traffic complications in the winter months.

Cons

Poor work/life balance - demands of job far exceeded a 50 hour work week. Month end completed within one work day alone often required a 14 hour work day.
