Pros

Very talented and skillful shop-floor people keep the place running properly, and a top-of-the-range support staff of engineers, group leaders and admin complete the team. Safe work practices and good shift structures for the workers makes it a good job.

Cons

Poor top-level management focussed too much on increasing the company's profile by getting involved in poor performing operations just to 'boost production' - only to run them at a major loss?. Unfortunately the good operations had to pay for those bad decisions and employee morale has plummeted as a result. Austerity measures in a company that didnt need to go down that sort of path is such a shame.

Cons

No work/life balance, no idea of what it takes to advance (everything is secretive).
