Pros

Great pay, and benefits. Great co-workers. Great medical devices and products that help the world see better.

Cons

Poor management. Don’t seem to care about employee concerns only upper management requirements. Need to bring in new outside management to move the company forward. Most current promoted management have worked for Alcon for most of their careers, and do not have a good sense of how other companies run. Management needs to listen and support their staff... in some cases, this is non existent.

Pros

Competitive salary, descent benefits. Climate controled.

Cons

Poor management, terrible parking, too much conflict of interest. The managers and supervisors are like a group of grade school bullies. If they dislike you, they will make your life a living hell. I guess they don't have anything better to do. Be prepared to either kiss butt or be tortured. Seniority means nothing only a guaranteed target on your back so they can kick you out and replace you with a 19 year old temp. If you value your marriage stay away, it's a very sexually aggressive environment.

Pros

- Friendly working environment, co-workers who are also friends outside of work - Most managers, senior colleagues and leadership team are approachable for guidance, advice etc - Plenty of opportunities for training - Starting pay for fresh grads is pretty decent within the industry

Cons

- Could do with more job rotation opportunities within the company - Some systems could do with an upgrade - Depending on which department you join, work/life balance can be abit of a challenge
