Pros

Good benefits. 401(k) match is as good as you'll find. Good pay for the area

Cons

If they decide to lay you off and your severance will be substantial, they will just make up a reason to fire you instead. Then they tell companies where you apply that they would not rehire you, which just adds insult to injury. Personal relationships figure into advancement way more than knowledge, effort, and results do, so make sure you socialize with your superiors. Be cold to your peers, though, or you may find yourself the subject of an unpleasant discussion.

Pros

Good pay with excellent benefits. Nice people to work with in a team structure.

Cons

Organizational structure is ridiculous in the manufacturing areas. Lower level Manufacturing leadership (Department Leads, "SME's", first level Supervisors) are extremely underdeveloped with skill and knowledge as it pertains to processes, tooling and equipment in their particular areas. As it is currently structured, these manufacturing leads earn higher pay levels than the Engineering support staff for those areas. However, the engineering support staff (who are much more knowledgeable and developed) are routinely directed and delegated to by these manufacturing leads. The whole structure is backwards/upside down. The most developed in skills and knowledge for processes, tooling and equipment in specific areas should have the higher pay levels and direct the underdeveloped.
