      Pros

      I was a "floater" so got to experience different rep's markets across the country.

      Cons

      Had to live out of hotels, tons of travel, allot of people telling you what to do and no commission.

      Challenging and rewarding work that provides the opportunity to bring medical devices to market that cure and prevent blindness. Good pay and benefits including on campus fitness center.

      Cons

      The different medical device groups are very specialized and the ability to laterally move between them for career development is limited.

      This company should be a case study for business schools. Alcon has gone from one of the best companies to work for and very customer oriented to a slowly sinking ship. The current ownership doesn't have a clue on what to do.
