      Great 401k, benefits Great healthcare Great resources human resources is making an honest effort to improve communication with employees

      Cons

      inter-department competition is counterproductive effects of Novartis buy-out in 2011 are still being felt, lots of lay offs, policy changes high level, decision-making management really has no clue on what is going on high level management are immune to consequences of bad decisions they make

      The salary and benefits are good.

      Cons

      Politics. They discriminate against former Ciba employees who were merged into Alcon. Not a good work environment since Ciba merger into Alcon. Don't know what those Nazis at Novartis were thinking when they merged Ciba into Alcon, but the result SUCKS. Alcon forced many field employees to work in the Ft. Worth headquarters, and those folks are NOT happy. They are very miserable and most really hate the Alcon culture and only continue to work there for the money. (Considering that the job market continues to struggle.)
