Pros

It is high pay for the area and decent benefits. Management is open to new ideas and continuous improvements. 10Hr evening shifts are available. Most Supervisors are awesome, relaxed, and approachable. Plenty of OT opportunities in GMP.

Cons

High stress, fast paced company. Production schedule changes within a few days frequently, so you never know what you are walking into coming to work. Tired and overworked employees can lead to a negative sarcastic workforce. They aren't hiring (we don't know why) enough to keep up with the workload. HR is not transparent and extremely difficult to contact. Workers say you come to GMP to die because once you are there, it is incredibly difficult to move anywhere else. They need operators so badly, they just can't afford to move anyone out without sacrificing production.

Pros

Decent pay Paid holidays off Good benefits/insurance

Cons

Negative attitudes all around, from leaders and staff. Lots of disregard for doing things the "Aldevron way", rather people (especially those who have been with the company a while) want to do things "their way" and this has formed into an almost clique-like situation. This needs to be monitored more closely as new hires are being trained the "operator's way" instead of what Aldevron is paying them to do. With new leadership there is a major sense of being treated as if we are in the military. Being forced to sign new contracts, facing new shift changes and not being allowed to have weekends off anymore. People are getting upset/burnt out and talking about leaving. A lot of people (with degrees!!!) chose to work here specifically to have a "normal" M-F work schedule and it's all about to change.
